About the Affordable Care Act

The Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as "Obamacare", has helped millions of people get health care coverage. Before the ACA, health insurance was unaffordable and unavailable for many. Now, with Obamacare, if you meet certain qualifications, the government will help pay for your monthly premiums and out-of-pocket cost. And for those who have preexisting medical conditions, you can no longer be denied coverage under Obamacare.

FAQs
  • What is the ACA?
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, referred to as the Affordable Care Act or “ACA” for short, is the comprehensive health care reform law enacted in March 2010.
  • How does it work?
The ACA makes affordable health insurance available to more people. The law provides consumers with subsidies (“premium tax credits”) that lower costs for households with incomes between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level (FPL).
  • Why should I consider ACA plans?
ACA plans typically have a lower monthly premium than private health insurance. Additionally, a majority of ACA plans are subsidized by the federal or state government — meaning your monthly payment could be as low as $0 if you meet certain income levels.
  • Can’t I find all this information on the official government website?
While the government website provides detailed information about the ACA (www.healthcare.gov), making sense of it and determining the best course of action for your circumstances can be overwhelming. And that’s why we are here to leverage our extensive industry knowledge to simplify the whole process for you.
  • How do I enroll into a new plan?
The application process is very detailed and our licensed specalists are on standby to assist you with this! We know how to make it easy. Its a simple conversation.
  • After I enroll, when should I get my plan materials?
Plan materials will arrive within 14 business days. A letter confirming enrollment will serve as your temporary card until the full welcome kit arrives.
  • How can I change my coverage, and what should I do if I have a problem with my plan?
If you have a problem with your plan, contact us for further assistance. Our licensed agents will assist you determining how to resolve the problem.
